Effective 10 October 2026
Hitch Countdown is a rotation calendar and crew change countdown for people who work hitches. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: the app does not collect it.
The app stores the details you type into it: rotation names, days on and days off, hitch start dates, travel days, shift label, your reminder setting and, if you choose to enter one, a day rate and currency. This is kept only in the app's storage on your own device.
Nothing. The app has no account, no sign-in and no server. It does not upload your rotation, your day rate or anything else, and it contains no advertising or analytics code of its own. It works with no internet connection.
When you use "Add to my calendar", "Save as picture" or "Save backup file", the app makes a file on your device and hands it to you. Where that file goes next, for example into your calendar app or a message to your family, is your choice and is covered by the privacy policy of the app you send it to.
The "Google Calendar" links under Upcoming Crew Changes open a Google web page with the event title and date filled in. Nothing is sent until you tap one of these links. Google's own privacy policy applies to that page.
Use Settings → Start over → "Erase everything" inside the app, or uninstall the app. Either one removes everything the app has stored. Because nothing is held anywhere else, there is nothing further to delete.
The app is a work-schedule tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
